Warehouse Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, optimise processes, and ensure the efficient management of logistics activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory systems, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall productivity.

Responsibilities

* Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, storage, and inventory control.

* Supervise warehouse staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations.

* Manage transportation logistics using systems such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).

* Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimise supply chain efficiency.

* Utilise ERP systems like AS400 to monitor stock levels, order processing, and reporting.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

* Implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs through continuous improvement strategies.

* Oversee forklift operations and ensure staff are trained in safe handling procedures.

* Manage shipping & receiving schedules, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods.

* Analyse profit & loss statements related to warehouse activities to inform strategic decisions.

* Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and conduct regular stock audits.

Experience

* Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics roles with supervising experience preferred.

* Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics management, and warehouse processes.

* Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400, and transportation management tools.

* Experience working with 3PL providers and managing third-party logistics relationships.

* Proficiency in using forklift equipment safely; certification is advantageous.

* Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a warehouse setting.

* Prior experience handling profit & loss analysis related to warehouse operations is desirable.
