• Sunday: 05:00 – 12:00
• Thursday: 06:00 – 10:15
• Friday: 06:00 – 10:15
• Saturday: 05:00 – 12:00

Our Tesco colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but you can choose a schedule of 12 hours per week if desired.

The table above indicates the time windows during which we would like you to be available. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within these times and you will receive three weeks' notice of your exact shifts. We support flexibility; if your preferred availability is close to, but not identical to, the listed windows, we may still consider you.

• Serve shoppers and support the day‑to‑day operations of a busy store.
• Work across the store in areas such as service, picking, and replenishment.
• Deliver customer service with passion and pride, building rapport with customers.
• Implement training to work safely and efficiently, following company policies.
• Make decisions that enhance the customer experience and meet store needs.
• Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events.
• Maintain product quality during handling, ensuring items reach customers in top condition.
• Adhere to store performance objectives, reducing waste and shrinkage while driving sales.
• Accept store deliveries when required.

• Experience working in a retail environment is preferred.
• Good communication skills and a positive, customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate openly.
• Relevant knowledge about the store's products and services.
• Willingness and ability to take the initiative and make customer‑centric decisions.
• Strong organisational skills and punctuality, presenting yourself as a brand ambassador.
• Over 18 years of age. Candidates with the required age may work before 06:15 am or after 21:45 pm or in roles involving the warehouse, spirits, bakery, counters, or driving.
