Reach Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled High Reach Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating high reach forklifts to handle materials, load and unload goods, and support warehouse management activities. This role is vital in ensuring efficient inventory movement and maintaining a safe working environment within our busy warehouse facility. Prior experience with warehouse management systems and mechanical knowledge will be advantageous.

Responsibilities Safely operate high reach forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. Assist with the organisation and storage of stock, ensuring items are stored correctly and labelled accurately. Support shipping and receiving operations by preparing goods for dispatch or receipt. Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment and perform basic repairs or report faults for maintenance.

Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update stock records precisely. Handle materials efficiently, adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage. Assist with general warehouse duties, including organising storage areas and maintaining cleanliness standards. Support the training of new staff on forklift operation and safety procedures as required. Requirements Proven experience operating high reach forklifts in a busy warehouse environment.

Knowledge of warehouse management systems and basic inventory control procedures. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor equipment repairs or troubleshooting. Strong understanding of materials handling techniques, shipping, and receiving processes. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly. Good organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate stock management. Basic maths skills for inventory counting and record keeping.

Valid forklift licence recognised in the UK; previous experience operating other types of warehouse equipment is desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards at all times.
