ICC Special Inspector​/Welding and Structural Steel- Las Vegas

Summary:

The ICC Special Inspector will perform inspections on construction materials such as reinforced concrete, reinforced structural masonry, structural steel and welding, and fireproofing. The ICC Special Inspector will also perform field testing of construction materials as needed. The Special Inspector is expected to coordinate all activities with the Field Supervisor and Project Manager in conformance with GES’ quality standards.

• Coordinates field assignments with the Field Supervisor.
• Performs construction special inspections and observations.
• Informs field representatives of inspection results.
• Prepares detailed reports summarizing special inspection and observation results.
• Maintains equipment and company vehicles.
• Follows safety manual guidelines.
• Meets with Project Manager to discuss progress of field work.
• Coordinates laboratory testing with the Laboratory Supervisor.
• Sample pick‑up for laboratory testing.
• Discusses scope of laboratory testing with PM.

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent client relations skills.
• Experience in construction materials testing.
