Here’s what you’d do:

The Area Superintendent coaches, evaluates, and trains staff and field workers in the performance of landscape construction services.

You’d be responsible for:

• Coaching, evaluating, and training field workers in landscape construction services
• Ensuring all field workers and jobsites are safe from hazards, and that proper PPE and safety policies are enforced
• Inspecting all field work; analyzing and resolving problems
• Managing labor force to ensure labor budgets are on track
• Maintaining accurate daily and weekly activity logs for Foremen and Superintendents; updating production tracking reports and generating related reports as needed
• Coaching and managing Continuous Improvement (CI) rhythms
• Reviewing daily labor coding and production input; making necessary adjustments
• Dispatching labor and equipment to job sites
• Managing equipment utilization, storage, and maintenance on projects
• Ensuring construction services are delivered according to contract specifications, within the labor budget, and on schedule
• Meeting and exceeding the expectations of external and internal customers
• Working collaboratively with staff to ensure customer satisfaction
• Fostering a positive, people-oriented environment
• Evaluating employee safety data and promoting safe work practices; ensuring attendance at weekly safety meetings
• Demonstrating ethical behaviors, integrity, and promoting company culture

You might be a good fit if you have:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in landscape, concrete, irrigation, and construction production techniques
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), superintendent management software, and Plan Grid
• Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred
• Expert knowledge of construction tools, machinery, and equipment
• Strong work ethic and effective communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
