Commercial Construction Project Manager - Plus

Description

Our Commercial Construction Project Manager is responsible for the for the operating performance of half of our Commercial Landscape Construction teams with an expected annual revenue of $2,500,000. This team leader is expected to supervise two (2) to four (4) construction team teams consisting of approximately 8 to 20 teammates depending on time of year and projects. This job covers a broad range of responsibilities including cost-based estimating (part of a business development team), project coordination/planning, contract administration, execution of required services, quality control, customer service, subcontractor liaison, team leader, trainer, and more.

Three (3) years minimum experience is required for this position. Ultimately this position ensures all projects are conducted safely, efficiently, and profitably while achieving quality, schedule, and cost goals.

• Conducts thorough take-offs from construction plans to ensure accurate scope of work

• Develops pricing to meet current objectives and still win work
• Crafts proposals that clearly communicate what is and what is not included in the proposed scope of work
• Sells on quality, solutions, customer service and value – not on price alone
• Speaks confidently and present professionally in one-on-one settings as well as in larger groups
• Develops schedules and plans to execute contract work in most efficient manner
• Thoroughly reads and understands contract documents and project requirements
• Plans proactively with project team and executes projects with urgency
• Manages project scope changes clearly and with frequent communication
• Completes all project administration task both timely and accurately
• Analyzes personal and team performance of every project in comparison to estimated expectations
• Develops new expertise(s) while handling/overcoming failures or mistakes
• Leads and trains team to develop new capabilities and improve opportunities for advancement
• Participates in constructive feedback & conflict resolution with a focus on caring about the success of the customer and teammates.
• Maintains passion and enthusiasm for the environment, our community, and our team
• Follows the Moana Nursery Business Processes fully and accurately.
• Helps grow Moana Nursery’s landscape construction business

• Applicant must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Applicant must be able to sit in front of a computer for long periods of time.
• Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Valid Driver's License, with clean driving record
• OSHA
  30 Certification
• Landscape Project Management/Estimating Experience (3+ years required)
• Hardscape, Irrigation and Landscape Installation expertise
• Knowledge of general horticultural best practices
• Computer literate (including Microsoft Products)
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills

• Bi-Lingual Spanish
• Nursery Worker Certification
• I.C.P.I. Certification
• Q.W.E.L., Irrigation Association, or Landscape Industry Certified
• Asset by Include (software)

Our construction teams typically works Monday through Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm, our project managers adapt their schedules based on the needs of the position.

The starting rate for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 per year depending on experience, expertise and responsibilities plus performance based incentive. Other benefits for this role include:
