TECHNICAL OPERATOR/DIRECTOR - KOLO

Gray Media seeks a Technical Operator/Director for KOLO in Reno/Tahoe. The role will manage on‑air production during evening shows (3 pm–12 am), directing newscasts, studio recordings, master control, and other production tasks.

KOLO is a Reno/Tahoe station known for community‑focused journalism and service initiatives such as KOLOCares.

KOLO-TV requires experienced Technical Operators/Directors for evening broadcasts. Candidates will handle live news production, master control automation, and editing. Training is provided. Saturday/Sunday evening shifts are mandatory.

• Operate newscast and studio production equipment.
• Manage master control operations.
• Use Ross Overdrive switcher, ENPS, VIZrt, NVerzion and Edius/Premier editors.
• Ensure flawless on‑air delivery and technical quality.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Television production experience preferred.
• Willingness to reside within 30 minutes of the station.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.
