Overview
Graphic Designer at United Federal Credit Union. The Graphic Designer creates visual concepts that communicate ideas, inspire audiences, and reinforce brand identity. They work across digital and print media to produce engaging designs for websites, advertisements, social media, packaging, and more. This role includes a UX focus to ensure digital designs—such as graphic support for intranet, web pages, landing pages, and online banking—are visually appealing, intuitive, and user-friendly.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with marketing and creative agency of record to develop and/or support design concepts
- Create visual assets such as logos, illustrations, infographics, and layouts
- Design promotional materials including brochures, banners, and social media graphics
- Ensure brand consistency across all visual outputs
- Revise designs based on feedback and project requirements
- Prepare final deliverables for print or digital publication
- Stay updated on design trends and software tools
- Assume ownership of the digital asset management software
- Apply basic UX principles to digital projects, focusing on layout, navigation, and accessibility for an improved member experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related field
- 1–2 years of experience in graphic design
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Project management experience a plus

- Knowledge of credit union products, services, and member demographics (preferred)
- Understanding of accessibility standards for digital and print media

- Basic video editing and motion graphics (Adobe Premiere, After Effects) is a plus
- Experience with web design principles and responsive design (HTML/CSS knowledge helpful)
- Ability to create graphics optimized for social media, email campaigns, and websites
- Competence in preparing files for print and digital distribution

Work involves standing and walking for brief periods, but most work is seated. Potential for eyestrain from prolonged computer work. Deadlines and high workload may increase stress levels.
Working ConditionsInternal: climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise; long hours may be required to meet deadlines or attend meetings. External: some travel may be required.
