TSK Architects is a highly acclaimed architecture, planning and interior design firm located in California, Nevada, and Texas. We are seeking a talented individual for the role of Associate Principal to join our team. The Associate Principal is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of architectural projects from concept to completion, including managing teams, collaborating with clients and consultants, developing schedules and budgets, ensuring compliance with building codes, delivering projects on time and within budget, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Responsibilities- Provide design expertise and leadership throughout the project process, ensuring client objectives and design standards are met. Attend and represent at client meetings.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, managing teams of architects, designers, and consultants to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
- Cultivate strong client and owner relationships to drive satisfaction and repeat business opportunities. Represent the firm at industry events and networking opportunities.
- Serve as the owner’s trusted advisor, understanding their needs and maintaining effective communication throughout the project.
- Maintain deep understanding of building codes, regulations, industry standards, and latest trends and technologies.
- Collaborate with internal leaders and Directors, ensuring alignment on objectives, deliverables, and budgets.
- Provide regular updates to the Principal and support practice leaders in quality control and excellence.
- If licensed, hold the Architect of Record role.
- Partner with the Principal in revenue projections, fee workplans, invoicing, client agreements, consultant negotiations, and financial success of projects.
- Licensed Architect in the state of Nevada required.
- TX or CA license a bonus.
- At least 7 years of experience.
- Knowledge of local, state, and national building codes, regulations, and approval processes.
- Experience in all phases of project management and design, including long-term planning and budget management.
- Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, costs, and applicable codes.
- Knowledge of current trends and areas of future growth within the industry.
- Experience in public speaking.
- Ability to successfully manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination.
- Evaluate design alternatives based on site and code requirements.
- Experience in client interviews and relationship building.
- Proven track record in building and leveraging a client network into design opportunities.
- Proficiency in bond program development and cost analysis.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
- Ability and willingness to travel as necessary.
