Critical Care Intensivist Academic Level II Trauma Center in Reno​/Tahoe

Renown Health, the largest not‑for‑profit Integrated Health System affiliated with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, is hiring a Critical Care Intensivist to join our Critical Care division that currently employs 25 MDs and 4 APPs.

Renown Regional Medical Center is a state‑of‑the‑art 800‑bed Level II Trauma Center covering a 900,000‑person service area. Renown Regional provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including 24‑hour emergency care and ECMO.

Our Critical Care Division has been developed to foster optimal work‑life balance and professional satisfaction.

• Scheduled 7 on / 7 off blocks in three closed ICUs, including the Cardiac ICU, Neuro ICU, and Trauma ICU.
• Attend all ICUs as well as swing and night shifts. The night intensivist is paired with a Critical Care APP who handles first call, bedside procedures, new consults, and Code Blue alerts.
• Manage patients requiring VA and VV ECMO. Renown Health is the only ECMO center in Northern Nevada, and all intensivists are trained in ECMO management.
• Joint faculty participation in UNR School of Medicine resident and medical student education. Academic professorship credentials and research tracks are available.
