- Residential Education
* Supervise or assist with supervision of 4 paraprofessionals
* Assist with the recruitment, selection, and training of student staff
* Promote restorative justice through educational conversations
* Coordinate and facilitate community programming
* Lead media campaigns including posters, adverts, social media presence, and more
* Facilitate community outreach initiatives
* Coordinate and facilitate the residential curriculum in collaboration with the Graduate School
* Organize and complete Room Condition Reports for Ponderosa Village
* Lead communication regarding Ponderosa Village Renewal Campaigns
* Assist in new-lease recruitment process
* Assist in the completion of move-in and move-out operations
* Collaborate with business partners such as the Facilities Manager and the Coordinator of Desk Operations
* Assist with or coordinate desk operations
* Assist with or coordinate housing operations
* Other duties as assigned, including various administrative tasks
* To be eligible for an assistantship, students must be admitted to an aid eligible, degree-granting program at the University of Nevada, Reno and be in good academic standing. Self-Supported Programs such as Extended Studies certificates or online programs do not qualify for aid.
* Successful candidates must maintain an overall graduate studies GPA of at least 3.00 and must be continuously enrolled in at least 6 graduate level credits throughout the duration of the assistantship.
* This assistantship requires candidates to work an average of 20 hours per week. The Graduate Assistant for Residential Education may be required to work during non-business hours such as nights, weekends, and some holiday to complete relevant programming, events, and activities.
* A stipend dependent on degree track and program
* A board plan of 50 meal swipes per semester (50 swipes for Fall; 50 swipes for Spring) while classes are in session
* Medical insurance coverage
* In-state tuition paid for up to 10 credits per semester (10 Credits for Fall, 10 Credits for Spring).
* Out-of-state students will receive a “waiver” of the difference between out-of-state tuition and in-state tuition for up to four semesters for Master’s degree-seeking students and six semesters for Doctoral degree-seeking students
* The student is financially responsible for all student fees relevant to their status as a Graduate Student.
* Summer tuition may also be available
* Professional development funds for conference attendance may also be available.

* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
* Interpersonal skills
* Ability to multi-task
* Ability to work in a team environment, and independently as needed.
* Ability to travel or if expected to drive a state vehicle, must have Nevada State Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within required time period
* Carry out physical activity requirements commensurate with duties of the position, i.e., walk up multiple flights of stairs in case of emergency, lift 25 pounds, etc.
