The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is seeking an Assistant Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations to support the Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations in advancing a comprehensive corporate and foundation fundraising program. The position assists with the development and implementation of fundraising strategies, manages an assigned portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects, and coordinates proposal development, funder communications, and stewardship activities in support of the University's colleges, academic priorities, research programs, and institutional initiatives.

Serving as a key point of coordination between University Advancement and campus partners, the Assistant Director collaborates with faculty, deans, researchers, and Advancement colleagues to identify and cultivate funding opportunities, develop competitive proposals, and strengthen relationships with corporate and foundation partners. The position helps align external funding opportunities with University priorities and supports effective prospect management, solicitation, stewardship, and compliance activities.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, the Assistant Director works collaboratively with Advancement staff and campus partners across the University to support the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate and foundation funding opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related professional work experience OR

Master's Degree and one (1) year of related professional work experience

Experience:

Experience supporting corporate and foundation fundraising activities, proposal development, and stewardship processes, preferably in higher education or a large nonprofit organization or related experience.

Schedule and Travel Requirements:

Flexible work schedule, with travel and weekend work necessary

Grants-in-Aid for Faculty Employees:

The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate.
