By applying for this position, you are considered a candidate for the position and must meet the requirements of eligibility for employment by the Center for Student Engagement. Requirements include a minimum GPA of 2.00 and currently enrolled in 15 credit hours.  If hired, you must successfully complete 30 hours per academic year to stay on track toward graduation. ** Responsibilities
* * The Director of Student Elections and Democratic Engagement will:
* Develop short-term and long-term strategies that enhance voter engagement
* Conduct the mandatory candidates meeting to inform all candidates regarding the elections process and guidelines
* Work with the Attorney General to facilitate the ASUN Primary and General Elections
* Ensure adherence to the Statues of the Associated Students throughout the elections process
* Work with CSE staff to develop and implement voter registration strategies
* Develop and implement educational presentations to encourage student participation in ASUN, local, state, and national elections
* Develop strategies to increase the participation of historically underrepresented groups in the elections and voting processes
