About the Opportunity: Our client, a leader in Automotive Manufacturing, is looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their team for a Not specified engagement. This project involves developing and deploying manufacturing equipment within their cutting-edge battery factories, focusing on battery architecture innovation, battery reliability, and battery cost. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Responsibilities

& Deliverables
  • Establishing equipment requirements and developing design concepts.
  • Developing new manufacturing equipment for a high-volume production environment.
  • Developing specifications and managing RFQ process for new manufacturing equipment.
  • Leading and managing project scope from concept through production launch.
  • Overseeing detailed design of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Developing equipment validation plans.
  • Coordinating factory readiness and equipment installation.
  • Functioning as lead manufacturing engineer or project manager on new automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Transitioning products from low-volume prototypes to large-scale production.
  • Ability and willingness to travel abroad up to 50%.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Deep expertise in mechanical design and layout development experience in CAD, understanding of tolerancing and GD&T, and understanding of manufacturing equipment safety systems. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Experience with multiple new equipment installations and product launches, and large manufacturing line implementations.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, similar degree, or equivalent experience.
