Sr. Controls Engineer

Overview

This Senior Control Systems Engineer will lead and mentor teams. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. As a working project manager, this engineer should be comfortable in the office (with the AVEVA and/or Rockwell HMI/SCADA software products) as well as in the field (developing the business and providing an excellent customer experience).

• BS in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Chemical, Mechanical) or equivalent experience
• 5+years experience programming AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA MES, or Rockwell Supervisory Edition
• 5+years experience working with process historians
• 5+ years experience architecting, programming, and configuring HMI systems
• Strong electrical aptitude
• Ability to translate customer specifications into software following existing customer programming standards
• Ability to understand, modify and expand code
• Experience with creating Functional Specification documentation and SAT/FAT testing and documentation

• Experience with VFDs, PLCs and related equipment
• Experience with safety hardware and software applications
• Experience leading teams and projects with a strong desire to teach and guide other engineers
• Experience managing small project or leading small teams
• Excellent time estimation and management skills and ability to work with little oversight to meet tight deadlines

• Travel approx 25%
• Must be willing and able to flex schedules
