Role DescriptionThis full‑time, on‑site position is for a Technician located in Reno, NV. The Technician will install, maintain, and troubleshoot medium voltage power systems and components. Day‑to‑day tasks include conducting diagnostic tests, performing routine inspections and repairs, documenting technical issues, and ensuring equipment meets safety and operational standards. The role also collaborates with engineering teams to optimize system performance and resolve technical challenges.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot medium voltage power systems and components.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and perform routine inspections and repairs.
- Document technical issues, test results, and technical findings.
- Ensure equipment complies with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance and resolve technical challenges.
- Experience with medium voltage power systems, including installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Skill in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of complex electrical systems.
- Technical knowledge of Solid State Transformers, power conversion technology, and related components.
- Proficiency with safety protocols and regulatory compliance in industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document test results and technical findings.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross‑functional teams.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in electrical work are a plus.
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands‑on experience will also be considered.
