Overview
Gray Construction is looking for a Project Scheduler to join their team. This position is based out of Reno, NV.

- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of construction schedule management experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes of work, and the design process relative to the project schedule.
- Strong knowledge of project administration, including submittals, document control, change management, change orders, schedule logic, predecessors, successors, and float.
- Understanding of earned value management, and the ability to cost and manpower load schedules.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project; ability to develop a comprehensive baseline schedule with site teams and trade partners to meet milestones.
- Experience overseeing scheduling teams, producing schedule progress updates and narratives on multiple projects, and collaborating with site teams and trade partners to meet milestones.
- Ability to evaluate construction sequencing, mitigate scheduling conflicts and compression, and review schedules from a safety perspective with mitigation points where applicable.

- Commitment to learning and developing new skills to enhance project schedule performance; lead by example and uphold Gray policies and procedures.

- Manage scheduling teams to develop comprehensive baseline schedules, schedule progress updates, and schedule update narratives on multiple projects with the site team and trade partners to meet key milestones.
- Evaluate construction sequencing to plan efficient workflows, identify and mitigate scheduling conflicts and compression, review schedules from a safety perspective, and present clearly to large groups.
- Apply industry experience to uncover optimization opportunities and manage scheduling teams in reviewing schedules for accuracy, project risk, and sequencing.
- Evaluate and communicate construction critical paths to the project team, trader partners, and customers; anticipate risks and assess impacts of Customer decisions, design delays, and trade partner progress; prepare TIAs as required.
- Ensure schedules across projects are developed, maintained, and reported according to Gray’s SOPs; coordinate with VDC and Project Controls for cost projections.
- Lead, mentor, and onboard junior team members; foster teamwork, resolve conflicts, and drive accountability and professional development within the scheduling team.
The candidate should be able to identify opportunities to improve schedule performance and ensure effective communication with project teams, trade partners, and customers.

This position has supervisory responsibilities for junior schedule managers and project schedulers.
