Responsibilities- Reporting to the Divisional Sales Manager, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading a strategic technical sales organization that supports municipal drinking water, wastewater, and water re‑use facilities.
- Promote Hach’s complete liquid analytical solutions—including instrumentation, reagent chemistries, and services—through coordination with applications specialists, process specialists, and service teams.
- Developing short‑ and long‑term territory account plans to achieve assigned targets.
- Executing planned customer activities and documenting all interactions in Salesforce (SFDC).
- Managing opportunities through standard sales process steps using SFDC.
- Preparing and presenting monthly funnel reviews to demonstrate pipeline quality and account command.
- Preparing accurate monthly forecasts by managing opportunity dates, values, and probabilities.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with engineering firms and key accounts influencing customer decisions.
- Developing a strong network across the territory and positioning Hach as a key contributor in the water management community.
- Listening to the voice of the customer and asking questions that inspire breakthrough solutions.
- Moving quickly to action and maintaining focus without getting lost in details.
- Applying metrics, KPIs, and forecasting tools to self‑manage productivity.
- Collaborating with leadership and sales operations to ensure a healthy and accurate opportunity funnel.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; science‑related fields (Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering) preferred.
- Competency with CRM systems ( preferred) and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to develop and execute business plans and manage territory operations.
- Ability and willingness to travel 50%, including overnights.
- California State Water Resources Control Board Grade D4 or D5.
- Valid T3 certificate, CWEA Wastewater Operator 3 Certificate, or Advanced Water Treatment 3 Certificate.
- Environmental Health Specialist registration.
- EIT or PE certification.
- B2B experience selling complex industrial products or solutions.
- Liquid analytical equipment (engineer, technician, or solutions provider).
- Hands‑on experience with Hach equipment (DR3900, DR900, DR1900, Orbisphere, etc.).
- Design experience using liquid analytical instruments (electrochemistry, chlorine, ammonia, nutrients, inline analyzers).
- End‑user experience at drinking water, wastewater, or water re‑use facilities.

US ONLY:
The compensation range for this role is $90,000.00 – $ USD per year. This job is also eligible for incentive pay. The posted range may be modified in the future and an associate’s position within the range will be based on factors such as education, experience, location, performance, travel requirements, and other business needs.
