Position: Market Sector Team Lead
We are seeking a Market Sector Team Lead to support several teams within the Design and Engineering Division, focusing on our Market Sectors (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil). The ideal candidate will be an Arcadis employee with extensive consultancy experience on architectural and engineering projects and strong team‑management practices.
Travel related to project work is expected up to 20%.
Role Accountabilities- Lead a team of 3–5 design managers, setting clear objectives and ensuring access to the skills, tools, and resources required to deliver innovative project outcomes. Champion each member’s professional growth while fostering a collaborative, respectful environment.
- Establish and monitor team objectives, maintain high project quality standards, and regularly review performance. Oversee financials, scheduling, staffing plans, and client satisfaction to ensure successful project delivery.
- Serve as a key point of contact for market‑sector opportunities, ensuring alignment with client pursuits across internal (A&R) and external stakeholders. Act as Pursuit Lead or contributor on proposal teams to develop compelling sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and achieve commercial objectives. Participate in post‑bid reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as Project Director when required, providing strategic oversight and ensuring consistency across high‑risk or high‑value projects. Collaborate with project teams to define parameters, scope of services, fee, and financial targets, addressing legal, commercial, and operational risks.
- Over 15 years of experience, including extensive consultancy, on large‑scale architectural/engineering projects. Ideally, experience overseeing multiple disciplines (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) on large projects.
- Expertise in one or more Key Service Lines or Market Sectors.
- Proven experience managing small teams (3‑5 persons) across geographies and time zones, utilizing technology.
- Advanced competency in business‑development and project‑planning tools, including data analysis.
- Arcadis Project Manager Certification.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, Management, or a related field.

Salary range: $113,933 – $193,686 (actual salaries vary by experience, education, budget, etc.)
