The Teller provides quality member service, accepts and accurately processes counter transactions, and meets established sales referral goals for Credit Union products.
Essential Functions- Complete members' transactions at the teller window with accuracy, timeliness, courtesy, confidentiality and professionalism. Time: 40%
- Meet established sales referral goals as assigned by Branch Manager. Time: 35%
- Open and close the branch and perform general account maintenance. Maintain and balance cash drawer, operating cash dispense machine, buy and sell cash to the vault, verify cash and keep cash in an orderly manner. Time: 25%
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year cash handling preferred.
- Minimum of one year customer service experience required.
- Sales or referral experience with proven results.

- Working knowledge with ten‑key calculator, computer keyboard and programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Internet.

Work involves standing for long periods of time, mobility throughout the Credit Union and potential eye strain from reading the computer screen. Manual dexterity is critical when handling cash and using Branch Services equipment. Increased workload during busy times may cause increased stress levels. Ability to lift 50 pounds required when lifting coin bags.
Working ConditionsInternal – Work is normally performed in a climate‑controlled office environment; exposure to extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment. No known environmental hazards are encountered. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.
External – This position will require travel to branches in the region. Information on environmental conditions is not available.
