ResponsibilitiesAs a financial advisor, your responsibilities include:
- Growing your client base through new connections, referrals, and excellent client service
- Building personalized, holistic financial plans tailored to each client's needs
- Managing client financial plans to help them reach their goals
- Supporting clients through every stage of life to strengthen relationships

This includes industry expert insights, client acquisition strategies, and mentorship from experienced advisors.
To become a financial advisor, you must obtain the following licenses:
Life/Accident & Health Certifications, Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), and Series 6, 7, and 63. Northwestern Mutual offers pre-payment or reimbursement for course tuition and books.
- Performance-based earnings, with an average annual income of $61K-$119K in the first three years; top advisors earn $137K-$250K
- Additional income support during training and early development

Ideal candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree

Our Financial Advisors are valued as independent contractors and considered statutory employees for FICA tax purposes.
