Overview
Paramedic role at International SOS. We are staffing for full-time Night Shift Paramedics for one of our industrial clients in Reno, Nevada. Schedule is Monday - Sunday 6:00 pm to 6:00 am (3 weeks on/3 weeks off). All candidates must be able to reliably commute to the work site for scheduled shifts.

Key Responsibilities- Assist medical providers with medical procedures and treatments as allowed within licensed scope of work.
- Assessment and documentation of the patient’s vital signs, chief complaint, medical history, prescribed medications.
- Establish observable and documentable patient goals using care plans within protocols.
- Report all changes in patient’s conditions to the medical provider.
- Proactively and independently administer basic care, including inserting catheters with blood specimen collection, urine collection and EKGs, visual acuity, basic wound care, changing bandages or administering intravenous medications.
- Assist patients with basic care and activities of daily living, as needed.
- Provide support and education to help patients make responsible health decisions.
- Maintain supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipate needed supplies.
- Restock clinical and provider areas once supplies are received.
- Cross-train to work within the clinics, emergency room, and inpatient units.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedule as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of three (3) years of paramedic experience.
- Experience in a clinic setting (urgent care, emergency room, etc.).
- Occupational / industrial experience.
- CPR Instructor.
- Current and unrestricted license from Nevada.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
