Summary: Pharmacy Technician opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule. The dynamic individual will assist the Pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mix IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood; type labels, prepare and file charge slips and perform other related duties.

• Minimum/Preferred Requirements:
• High School graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved Pharmacy Technician school or equivalent work experience and PTCB certified.
• Minimum of two (2) years required, preferable in a hospital setting.
• Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (e.g., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access).
• Licensed by Nevada Board of Pharmacy and certified by PTCB.
• Experience with automated pharmacy systems.
• Experience with IV Laminar Flow Hood or willingness to learn.
• Job Responsibilities/Duties:
• Assist the Pharmacist in providing medication, drug information and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel.
• Demonstrate ability to calculate figures and amounts relating to dosage calculations when filing prescriptions ranging from newborn to elderly populations.
• Prepare intravenous solutions and admixtures.
• Assist in filling prescriptions.
