Job description

ARC Health & Wellness is an organization that specializes in working with Fire Departments / Police Departments and Military. We conduct Comprehensive Health Screenings identifying Heart and Lung Disease and early identification of Cancer. We travel from time to time throughout the Western States and have Offices in Las Vegas, Tucson, and Reno.

Phlebotomy training/experience is a PLUS! As a medical assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician
  • Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State you are working in. Performing in office testing such as PFT, Hearing, and vision testing.
  • Maintaining infection control protocol and CLIA standards
  • Recording documentation in the Electronic Medical Record and in paper charts. Checking for accuracy and signatures
  • Assist with daily administrative duties, including covering the front desk, answering multi-phone lines and making copies of documents as necessary
  • Accurately files patient charts; including scanning documents into files as necessary
  • Schedules patient appointments as necessary, return visits and obtaining medical records from other facilities.
