This Nurse Apprentice opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient flexible schedule. The dynamic individual will support nursing care and coordinate the delivery of patient treatments to assigned patients in a medical/surgical facility, ensuring adherence to hospital or department and university policies, and nursing procedures, standards, and practices. Assess patient health, develop a plan of care, administer treatments, educate patients and families, and provide patient and family support as a liaison with doctors and other staff members.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing.
• Has completed the first year of clinical rotations in an acute care hospital.
• Current BLS certification.

• Perform a head‑to‑toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy (pediatric, geriatric, and general populations).
• Coordinate with RN preceptor to formulate, revise, and evaluate patient care plans daily for effectiveness.
• Use knowledge of medications and their correct administration under the direct supervision of an RN preceptor.
