About Salud
Salud Tech is building a one‑of‑one grocery cart optimization platform that translates nutrition goals directly into a grocery list. We are early (pre‑seed), lean, and determined to build something people actually use.
What You’ll BringYou’re a product‑minded designer who enjoys untangling complex problems and creating interfaces and experiences that feel obvious, fast, and human. You’re comfortable working in ambiguity, iterating quickly, and turning early ideas into real product experiences users love.
Role DescriptionWe’re looking for a part‑time UI/UX Designer in the Reno / Truckee / Greater Tahoe area to help shape the Salud product experience. You’ll work closely with the leadership team and product engineering to design, iterate, and refine the end‑to‑end user experience.
This is a hands‑on, early stage role with real ownership, and your design decisions will have a direct influence on how Salud is built and how our users experience it.
What You’ll Work On- Core Product UI/UX Design
- Translating complex logic into simple, intuitive interfaces
- Wireframes → Clickable Prototypes → Design Handoff
- Helping define early design systems and interaction patterns
- Design Salud for multiple platforms - Web, iOS, and Android
- Strong product sense (not just “pretty screens”)
- Experience designing data‑dense or logic‑heavy products
- Comfort working with ambiguity and fast iteration
- Bonus: experience with marketplaces, gaming, or optimization tools
- Bonus: experience designing for health, nutrition, PaaS, or consumer SaaS
- Part‑time for now until we can bring the team on full‑time
- Equity‑only until we raise our first round
- Remote with occasional in‑person brainstorm sessions in the Reno / North Lake Tahoe area
- Meaningful ownership and influence over the product
- Strong foundation in UI and visual design with a focus on usability and clarity
- Experience creating mockups, user flows, and interactive prototypes
- Solid understanding of UX processes and iterative, feedback‑driven design
- Ability to collaborate closely with engineers and work within front‑end constraints
- Comfortable designing for both web and mobile experiences
- Proficient with modern design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
- Clear communicator who works well in small, cross‑functional teams
