Holland & Hart is seeking an associate attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join its Energy, Environmental, and Natural Resources practice group in our Reno office. This position has focus on the mining industry and involves assisting clients with addressing environmental issues, navigating permitting, and defending project approvals and operations.
Position RequirementsIdeal candidates will have knowledge and background in environmental and regulatory law, as well as the ability to support litigation matters. We are seeking candidates who are excited to be part of a dynamic team, ready to take ownership of matters (with appropriate supervision, mentorship, and guidance) and eager to get to know our clients. Candidates should demonstrate a teamwork ethic, critical analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to excel under pressure and thrive under demanding schedules and deadlines.
Practical law school experience (law review, law journal, moot court, or trial advocacy team), and/or judicial clerkship experience are highly desired.
Holland & Hart’s compensation is merit-based—you’ll be evaluated on your individual performance and achievements and your contributions to the team’s efforts. The firm’s generous bonus program rewards financial contributions and hard work and associates are also eligible for fee splits. Holland & Hart expects associates to invest 1800 hours on billable matters, 75 hours of pro bono/public service work (or 50 hours of pro bono legal work), in addition to at least 25 hours dedicated to Community, Diversity & Inclusion Investment hours.
