Summary

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will lead Casino Operations, analyzing trends across 1300+ slots, 35 table games, 7 poker tables, Keno, and the Sports book. The AGM will develop and execute growth initiatives, set short‑ and long‑term goals, and ensure all operations align with company objectives, budget guidelines, and policy standards. This role demands an executive presence on evenings and weekends, a diplomatic conflict‑resolution style, and a drive to increase net income and market share.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent service to guests, internal staff, and external partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Department Directors; directly oversee all Gaming and Security divisions.
  • Establish performance and profit objectives for short‑term and long‑term goals.
  • Recommend and manage appropriate staffing levels across the casino.
  • Review and evaluate departmental performance, resolving unsatisfactory results or conditions.
  • Delegate responsibilities and authority to department managers for operational control.
  • Review departmental reports; address potential conflicts and misinformation.
  • Facilitate information flow, developing effective procedures and controls through regular meetings.
  • Ensure property records and reports are accurate and thorough.
  • Recommend revisions, updates, and new casino policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all casino policies and procedures.
  • Provide fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
  • Foster an atmosphere that encourages idea sharing, discussion of concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Support employee retention through training and development.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years in gaming industry experience.
  • 10+ years in senior resort & gaming management.
  • Experience with properties featuring a hotel and over 1,000 slots.
  • Proficiency in generating and interpreting financial statements to forecast casino performance.
  • Experience overseeing non‑gaming departments.
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Hospitality/Casino Management).

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong written communication; adept at routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective public speaking before customer or employee groups.
  • Mathematical proficiency: probability, statistics, and data analysis.
  • Problem‑solving ability: data collection, fact establishment, and conclusion drawing.
  • Interpretation of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form.
  • Superior time‑management and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership across a growing dynamic organization.
  • “Can‑do” and “make‑it‑happen” mentality.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Hospitality, or Casino Management (MBA a plus).

Licenses / Certificates

Ability to obtain or renew all government‑required licenses or certifications.

Language Skills

Exceptional oral and written communication; accurate reporting and correspondence; adept at interpreting business, technical, and regulatory materials. Strong attention to detail and engaging presentation skills.

Mathematical Skills

Proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculations of discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
