Contract: 12 months with potential for extension or direct hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Compensation: $30–$32/hour
Occasional weekend overtime required

Position OverviewThe Warehouse Supervisor leads hourly warehouse employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role is hands‑on and execution‑focused, with responsibility for daily workforce leadership, operational performance, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement. Success in this position requires a strong leadership presence, sound judgment, and the ability to address issues directly and fairly.
Key Responsibilities People Leadership & Workforce Management- Support and counsel hourly employees on daily needs (manpower, schedules, work assignments).
- Reinforce positive behaviors and address performance issues as needed.
- Conduct disciplinary interviews in compliance with company and contractual guidelines.
- Enforce shop rules, work standards, and national/local contractual requirements.
- Partner with peer supervisors to optimize overall shift performance.
- Keep the General Supervisor and Shop Committee informed of pending and ongoing activities.
- Plan and assign daily workloads in advance to meet operational goals.
- Ensure accurate daily timekeeping through the Timekeeping System (TKS).
- Perform daily Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) audit checks.
- Monitor inventory activities with an understanding of warehouse flow and downstream impacts.
- Conduct and document weekly safety observation tours of assigned departments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete and maintain required certifications, including 49 CFR compliance.
- Apply the Quality Network problem‑solving process to address operational opportunities.
- Engage employees in identifying quality, efficiency, and process improvements.
- Utilize Workplace Organization (WPO) principles to improve layout, flow, and efficiency.
- Document improvement efforts using A-3 reporting per local guidelines.
- Analyze recurring quality or process issues and lead corrective actions.
- Lead daily team meetings to communicate priorities, expectations, and performance updates.
- Promote open, two‑way communication to encourage employee engagement.
- Advance leadership and technical skills through the Individual Development Plan (IDP).
- Maintain required training and certifications.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
- Experience managing employee timecards and payroll‑related systems.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Demonstrated managerial courage—ability to address issues directly, fairly, and consistently.
- Ability to complete 49 CFR Certification prior to assignment start.
- Complete all required training, including safety and compliance.
- Develop hands‑on knowledge of assigned departments and warehouse processes.
- Build effective working relationships with employees, peers, and leadership.
- Demonstrate effective use of SOPs, timekeeping systems, and workforce planning.
- Fast‑paced warehouse setting.
- Direct supervision of hourly employees.
- Regular interaction with union or contract‑based workforce, where applicable.
