Operations Safety Manager

The preferred location for this role is Reno, NV. We will also consider qualified candidates based near our Santa Clara, CA location.

Edge Core Digital Infrastructure is seeking a regional Operations Safety Manager to serve as the primary regional EHS leader across our sites in Reno, NV and Santa Clara, CA. This role will be responsible for safeguarding field operations, driving continuous safety innovation, and fostering a strong safety culture across multiple high-performance sites. The Operations Safety Manager will mentor and develop site-level professionals, manage regional safety performance, and align corporate safety goals with frontline execution.

By collaborating with field leadership, operations teams, contractors, and customers, this role will ensure our mission-critical environments operate safely, reliably, and in full compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of Edge Core’s EHS programs across Santa Clara and Reno data center operations.
• Partner with site and operations leadership to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement practical corrective and preventive measures.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and assessments; track findings and partner with site leadership to ensure timely resolution.
• Lead and support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up.
• Monitor EHS performance, trends, and key metrics across the region and provide regular reporting and recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety requirements, including OSHA requirements.
• Assess training needs and coordinate or deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, and site leadership as appropriate.
• Partner with contractors, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to reinforce Edge Core safety expectations and address EHS concerns.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by building strong relationships with employees and leaders and encouraging ownership and accountability at all levels.

• 3–5 years of professional experience in EHS, occupational safety, or data center operations, or a combination of relevant safety and data center experience.
• Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and mentor employees and operational leaders to strengthen safety awareness, accountability, and performance.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, hazard assessments, incident investigations, and/or corrective-action tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with operational leaders, employees, contractors, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve safety concerns.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities across multiple locations.
• Ability and willingness to regularly travel between and support Edge Core’s Santa Clara and Reno locations up to 30%
• Experience supporting EHS programs within data centers, critical facilities, utilities, manufacturing, construction, or another complex operational environment is preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple sites, facilities, or geographic locations is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience is preferred.
