A well-established food production facility in Reno, NV is seeking an experienced FSQA Manager to lead its Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Sanitation teams. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with a strong background in food manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

• Lead and manage the Quality and Sanitation departments
  , setting clear goals and fostering a culture of accountability and development.
• Ensure timely review and approval of production records, SOPs/SSOPs, investigations, corrective actions, change controls, and technical documentation.
• Assign and communicate priorities to direct reports, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.
• Lead or support investigations of non-conformances, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure audit readiness and lead facility audits to GFSI standards (e.g., SQF, BRC).
• Perform other duties as needed to support operational and quality excellence.

• Experience in the dairy manufacturing industry
• Bachelor's in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a direct management/supervisory function.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., SQF, BRC, USDA, FDA, Organic, etc.).
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrated success in leading GFSI-certified audits and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
