Job Responsibilities

The Inventory Control Coordinator ensures accurate recording and verification of all inventory transactions related to raw materials, work in process, and finished goods in SAP/APL on a daily basis. The incumbent reports to the Production Planning Manager and coordinates closely with Department Managers, Plant Controller, and Logistics Team Leader to monitor inventory movement integrity, identify issues, correct discrepancies, and train team members on appropriate processes.

Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory through daily review of transactional movements of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
  • Review inventory control and accounting processes to identify improvement opportunities and implement changes.
  • Verify, reconcile and troubleshoot daily APL/SAP production and inventory transactions.
  • Perform inventory analysis and reconciliation for raw materials, work in process, and finished goods, resolving variances with all parties.
  • Review production reports for accuracy, work with production departments on variances, and close production work orders.
  • Act as site expert for SAP related issues, coordinate training and retraining of related systems.
  • Organize and lead tagged and physical inventories at the plant and external warehouses.
  • Manage and lead weekly cycle counts at the plant and external warehouses in coordination with Logistics Team Leader.
  • Collect data to verify Bills of Materials (BOMs) include all necessary items at correct quantities.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all parties involved in inventory control and accounting functions.
  • Train required team members on inventory and transactional practices.
  • Communicate with management, purchasing, and production teams on all levels of inventory management.
  • Provide backup for Shipping/Receiving/MRO clerks as needed.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • 2+ years of experience with inventory management required.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in logistics, business, accounting or related discipline preferred and may be used in place of manufacturing and/or inventory experience on a year‑to‑year ratio.
Computer Skills
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to learn new or advanced programs as required.
Other

  • Employee must be punctual and reliable.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
