• Oversee and/or create daily schedules for product assembly and shipping of multiple products based on open sales orders and material availability.
• Notify Customer Service of any schedule impacts to customers.
• Validate accuracy of sales orders prior to issuing to production and shipping.
• Leverage ERP/MRP system for maximum accuracy and synchronization with other business units.
• Monitor manufacturing inventory for accuracy, aging, turnovers, and valuation.
• Create custom reports and metrics to verify continuous process improvement.
• Coordinate schedule change requirements to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, develop, coach, and lead Inventory and Planning staff.
• Progress and enhance the working environment through employee engagement, results, and accountability.
• Evaluate human capital and material resource requirements.
• Serve as a positive role model for department personnel in all aspects of conduct.
• Exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and/or suggest process improvements as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• 3-5 years of proven experience with production planning and scheduling best practices.
• One year of lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• BA/BS in relevant field of study preferred.
• Experience in inventory management.
• Technical knowledge of electrical and lighting systems, manufacturing, electrical practices, and concepts.
• Experience with modern MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of continuous improvement, ISO regulations a plus.
• Business math and statistical techniques.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel); familiarity with Fed Ex, UPS, and USPS software systems; experience with Fishbowl Inventory.
