Company OverviewPrecision Molding & Machining is a growing manufacturing company specializing in high-precision CNC machining, mold work, and complex component production. We are expanding our leadership team and seeking an experienced CNC Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day machining operations and help drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Role SummaryThe CNC Production Supervisor is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for overseeing CNC machining operations, optimizing workflows, programming complex parts, and mentoring a team of machinists. This position is ideal for a senior CNC professional with strong technical skills and proven leadership experience in a fast‑paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, program, and operate CNC Mills (3-, 4-, and 5-axis) and CNC Lathes with live tooling and dual spindles.
- Develop and manage production schedules to ensure on‑time delivery and efficient throughput.
- Lead, mentor, and train CNC machinists; promote safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain job tracking systems, work instructions, and tool storage/organization methods.
- Program new parts and refine machining strategies using Autodesk Fusion 360 (preferred).
- Design and develop fixtures and work holding solutions for new jobs.
- Support quoting, quality processes, and ISO 9001 / AS9100 framework implementation.
- Manage external vendors, inventory levels, and cost‑effective procurement.
- Troubleshoot machining challenges and ensure machines are properly maintained.
- Enforce safety protocols and compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
- 10+ years of CNC machining experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong experience with multi‑axis machining, Fusion 360 CAM, and HAAS / Fanuc controls.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience developing machinist teams.
- Background in Lean Manufacturing, workflow optimization, or continuous improvement.
- Mold build experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP / MRP systems, and machinist documentation.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and safety regulations.
- Influence shop processes and production outcomes.
- Work with modern equipment and diverse machining projects.
- Engage in continuous improvement and technical innovation.
