• The purpose of the Nurse Manager is to provide oversight and direction to nurses and to work in collaboration with Social Services and Special Services to develop and deliver effective programming on the unit in support of a therapeutic milieu.
• The Nurse Manager is the champion of trauma informed care and ensures that nurses and Mental Health Technicians utilize appropriate de‑escalation techniques to maintain a milieu that is therapeutic and not re‑traumatizing.
• Nurses at Willow Springs Center develop nursing care plans by assessing patients’ psychological and physical condition and create plans for treatment, services and health education based on present and predicted needs.
• Nurses administer medications as prescribed, ensuring correct time, dosage and appropriate route of administration while monitoring patients for medication side effects and allergic reaction.

DAY SUN/MON/TUES/WEDS 40hrs per week

• Education:
  
  Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 3 years as a registered nurse and minimum 2 years in a psychiatric health‑care facility with at least 1 year in the oversight of a nursing program. Demonstrated clinical competency in psychiatric program development and management and treatment of children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
