Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Management & Training Corporation
Wage: $32.68 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday

Overview: The LPN will treat and prevent minor injuries and illnesses and provide health information and guidance for the well‑being of students at the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Treat minor injuries and illnesses according to physician instructions as authorized per healthcare guidelines.
- Conduct cursory medical exams during students' first 24 hours on center.
- Respond to after‑hour phone calls from non‑health staff regarding students' medical symptoms not covered under the SMGs.
- Clean and dress wounds, operate emergency equipment, and provide follow‑up care.
- Prepare and administer specified medication and drugs.
- Review and audit assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of service delivery; prepare related reports.
- Monitor students on bed rest in health and wellness center.
- Enter required information in student health records and maintain them in an organized manner.
- Conduct designated health services special programs as assigned.
- Assist physician or mid‑level health care provider when needed.
Education and Experience Requirements: Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of employment; one year of practical nursing experience; experience with youth; excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer proficiency; valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
