Job Description

Register Nurse, Behavioral Health, Per Diem Days at Northwest Specialty Hospital (an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center), located at 6225 Sharlands Ave in Northwest Reno. This facility offers adult behavioural health services for all adults 18 years and older, managed by a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, CNAs, social workers, and therapists.

• Involve patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Construct and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skills, integrating direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and comorbidities.
• Collaborate with the patient’s designated care partner to meet the educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.

• Current NV RN license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• One year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
