American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring prior travel experience and an active NV RN license.

• Work in the Sierra Med/Tele unit of a Level II Trauma Center hospital
• Night shift schedule on a 3x12 rotation with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• No standard on-call requirements
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• Floating required up to competency level based on organizational needs
• May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Facility may cancel shifts for low census up to 48 hours per 13-week contract
• Uses EPIC for charting

• Active NV RN license required prior to start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips
• Minimum of 2 years Med Surg/Tele experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, including at least one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year
• EPIC EMR training available during orientation or candidates may test out

• Provide individualized nursing care across the full episode of care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Coordinate care with other professionals and involve family/caregivers in care planning when appropriate
• Located at the region's only Level II Trauma Center, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually
• Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• A 13-week break is required between assignments for returning travelers
• Requested time off must be submitted upfront and will not be added to the end of the contract
• No blocked scheduling allowed; all assignments are for 13 weeks
