American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a day shift position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring an active NV RN license and telemetry competency.

• Work on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a Level II Trauma Center
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
• 3x12 day shift schedule with a 36-hour weekly guarantee
• No on-call requirements
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and occasional call shifts
• Floating required to other units based on organizational needs and competency level
• Must pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Uses Epic EMR, with training provided during orientation or option to test out

• Active NV RN license required prior to start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identification and measurement of telemetry rhythm strips
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience required
• At least one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year required prior to consideration

• Provide comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across the care continuum
• Coordinate care with other professionals and involve family/caregivers in the care process as appropriate
• Facility may call off shifts (full or partial) without penalty for low census, up to 48 hours per 13-week contract
• Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
• No blocked scheduling allowed, all assignments are for 13 weeks
• Requested RTO must be submitted with the application and will not be added to the end of the contract
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• A 13-week break is required for returning travelers before starting a new contract at this facility
