Infusion Registered Nurse; RN PRN

Pay: $45-$55/hour, depending on experience

Bright Star Care of Reno is hiring PRN Registered Nurses to provide infusion therapy in patients' homes throughout Reno, Sparks, and surrounding communities.

We're looking for nurses who are comfortable working independently, have strong IV skills, and want the flexibility to pick up additional work around their existing schedules.

Whether you're currently working in a hospital, infusion center, or home-health setting, this position offers an opportunity to put your clinical skills to work outside a traditional facility environment.

• $45-$55/hour

• PRN assignments scheduled around your availability and patient needs
• Mileage reimbursement for eligible travel
• One patient at a time, rather than managing a hospital patient assignment
• Support from our local nursing leadership
• No guaranteed minimum hours

• Administer IV antibiotics and other prescribed infusion therapies in patients' homes
• Start peripheral IVs and manage PICC lines, central lines, and implanted ports within your demonstrated competencies
• Assess patients, monitor treatment tolerance, and identify potential complications
• Perform vascular access dressing changes and maintenance
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment and line care
• Coordinate with prescribing providers, pharmacies, and our nursing team
• Complete accurate and timely visit documentation

Required:

• Current, active Nevada Registered Nurse license in good standing. Must have no past or pending disciplinary actions, license restrictions, suspensions, or revocations by any state Board of Nursing or other nursing licensing authority.
• At least two years of professional nursing experience
• Strong IV insertion and vascular access skills
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patient homes

Preferred:

• Home infusion or outpatient infusion experience
• Experience with PICC lines and implanted ports
• Background in acute care, oncology, emergency nursing, or home health

This is a PRN, as-needed position
, not a regularly scheduled shift.

Assignments are based on patient referrals, treatment schedules, and your availability. Visits may take place during weekdays or weekends depending on patient needs.
