We are an AAHA accredited small animal veterinary facility located in the South Reno area, currently experiencing a growth spurt. We are looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Veterinary Technician in Training (TIT) to join our team.
Responsibilities- Skilled patient handling – we are heavily motivated to provide a fear‑free environment for our patients and always keep everyone’s safety in mind.
- Anesthesia preparation, induction, and monitoring.
- Fluid administration.
- General and specialized nursing care.
- Perform laboratory testing and acquire digital radiographs.
- Prepare and dispense medications from pharmacy.
- Familiarize with our computer software to input data and communicate with clients.
- Recognize a patient in distress, pain, or needing intervention during anesthesia or general care.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician or Technician in Training in the state of Nevada.
- 2+ years experience as an LVT or TIT.
- Routine scheduling, intake, and in‑hospital care of patients and related procedures.
- Knowledge of supplies and basic inventory – ordering supplies and ensuring they are listed to be on order before running out; ability to be tasked with ordering.
- Identify supplies/instruments and understand their care – wrapping packs, layout/preparation for surgeries, and proper cleaning/sterilization with autoclave operation.
- Communicate with clients in a professional, warm, caring, and informative manner.
- Work well with team members, constructively take on a leadership role when needed, and allow current staff to guide learning.
- Adapt to the hospital’s infrastructure and abide by current policies and procedures.

- Schedule is negotiable, initially a “4‑10s” type schedule Monday–Friday.

- Starting wage is $22–28 per hour, negotiable with experience; salary is also an option.
