• Welcomes guests by determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu, answering questions.
• Sells coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment by explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipment operates.
• Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino.
• Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for the coffee bar.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re‑designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
• Enhances the coffee shop’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Operates the POS (Point of Sale) for half of the shift, 4 hours minimally.
• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
• Assists with the monthly breakdown of the store for deep cleaning.
• Provides any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

• Previous barista experience preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, frequently walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
• Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Frequent repetitive use of both hands and occasional light and firm/strong grasping motions as well as finger dexterity.
• Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
