Thrift Store Distribution Associate

Our Thrift Team supports our mission by raising money for homeless pets, hosting events to raise awareness about our adoptable animals, and maintaining a Kitty Lounge right on site that houses 1-2 adoptable cats at a time.

SPCA of Northern Nevada Thrift Store is looking for an organized person with a consistent and genuine positive attitude. Distribution Associates are responsible for intaking, sorting, and processing donations to maintain an inventory of quality goods on our retail floor. We have an amazing team who is passionate about saving the lives of homeless pets!

Our thrift store is located at 75

E. Moana Lane. You must be able to work 40 hours per week, be on your feet for very long hours and willing to work weekends and holidays.

• 1 year of warehouse or intake/distribution experience
• Ability to operate a pallet jack preferred, though we will train the right candidate
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and proper cash-handling
• Enthusiastic about engaging donors and shoppers in a courteous, helpful, and respectful manner
• Effective team communication and active listening skills
• 18 years of age or older
• Able to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted
• Responsible for maintaining a reliable means of transportation to work
• Ability to work assigned schedules which may include varied hours, weekends and holidays
• Willingness to cross-train with retail department
• Willingness to complete other tasks as assigned
