Smart & Final is looking for a Part‑time Retail Associate for our 585 Reno location. This role focuses on stocking, customer service, and maintaining the store’s cleanliness.

Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and write English, interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common‑sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift up to 45 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate

The Part‑time Retail Associate performs management‑assigned duties, which may include but are not limited to stocking and maintaining a store section, carry‑out services, and store cleaning.

• Maintain a store section as assigned and stock merchandise using proper equipment (excluding power/heavy equipment).
• Ensure proper pricing on merchandise, check product date codes to validate proper rotation, stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases.
• Prepare perishable products for sale as needed.
• Set up advertising/promotional displays.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior store areas as directed by store management.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers by providing them with current store and product information.
• When requested, load customer purchases by assisting customers to their vehicles.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.
