Bank Captain - Reno

Bank Captain - Reno (53462) role at Inter-Con Security. Inter-Con is seeking Security Officers to join our thriving team. You’ll work as a member of a close team to form the backbone of the broad security services Inter-Con provides its valued clients every day.

• Provide safety and security at posts, including greeting guests as they enter the Bank.
• Observe, document, and report incidents; enforce laws and policies as directed.
• Provide customer service and assist with operability of vertical conveyances.
• Intervene to terminate actions potentially injurious to persons or property.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to persons in crisis; respond to sick or injured persons.
• Respond to safety hazards, equipment malfunctions (e.g., escalators, liquid spills) and other maintenance related issues.
• Respond to events that may require partial or full evacuations; monitor video and alarms.
• Collaborate with other security officers, law enforcement and emergency services.
• Assigned to a variety of standing, sitting and walking posts; all personnel are certified and trained accordingly.

• US Person as defined by 22 USC 6010.
• Twenty-one years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree is highly desirable.
• No criminal history that renders the security officer unsuitable; background checks annually and motor vehicle records checks every six months.
• A permanent (not temporary) State Guard License.
• Ability to write detailed, accurate reports in English; ability to read and apply printed rules, orders, instructions and training materials in English.
• Ability to recognize situations/ individuals who may pose a threat to the public.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Ability to follow directions under stress; ability to manage verbally disruptive individuals professionally.
• For military veterans: discharge not disqualifying for the position.

High school diploma or equivalent; possession of a college degree is highly desirable. Speak, read, and write English. All assigned personnel should be of high integrity and possess exemplary security skills and judgment. Must hold all necessary and required licenses, permits and certifications required by the States and/or Countries of assignment to perform security officer duties.
