What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
- Control access to designated areas and verify identification as needed in accordance with location policies.
- Assist visitors and employees by providing directions and general information about the location as requested.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by Allied Universal and the client.
- Participate in ongoing training and maintain required certifications for armed security-related duties.
Minimum Requirements:
- Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
