Aircraft Mechanic – Reno, NV
Salary: $30–$50/hour.
Position Summary:
Tactical Air Support is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to support fighter aircraft maintenance. The role requires professional, disciplined teamwork, advanced technical knowledge, and the ability to provide inspection, operational test, repair, modification, and troubleshooting on all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment.
- Perform intermediate and limited depot-level maintenance on aircraft, components, and equipment.
- Inspect, operational test, repair, modify, and troubleshoot all assigned aircraft.
- Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems.
- Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other teammates as needed.
- Maintain safe and seamless ground maintenance operations.
- High School diploma or GED with at least 1 year of applicable work experience.
- Current work experience in aircraft maintenance occupational field, preferably in the military or with a government aviation maintenance contractor.
- Experience with high performance military aircraft (F‑5/T‑38).
- Active A&P certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Support Equipment Operator License (Tow Tractor, N2 Servicing Trailer, and Mobile Start Unit).
- Valid state driver’s license.
- U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance if required).
- Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).

- Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required.
- Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I‑9 Form.
- Tactical Air Support is a drug‑and‑alcohol‑free workplace. Pre‑employment, random, or for‑cause drug and alcohol testing (including for marijuana) is required.
- Pre‑employment and ongoing physical certifications required.
- May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
- Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
