Position: Parts Delivery Driver / Order Puller

Summary/objective

Part time Parts Delivery Driver is responsible or transporting parts large and small to various job locations and warehouses. Part time order pulling preparing them for shipments to other Goodfellow locations or directly to customers out of state.

Essential functions

• Check loads for delivery and accuracy
• Deliver to customers with a professional demeanor
• Ensure safe transportation of products
• Drive trucks safely and according to traffic laws
• Load and unload trucks as needed
• Able to pull a trailer if needed
• Learn the function and workings of the warehouse
• Pull prepare orders for shipment or delivery
• Use RF smart device to prepare orders

Competencies

• Reliable, accurate, customer-friendly, safe-minded, and quick
• Good driving skills
• Able to tie down loads
• Lift up to 50lbs
• Be MSHA certified
• Operate forklift
• Think on your feet
• Pre check trucks

Supervisory responsibilities

None.

Work environment

Most of the Parts Delivery Driver's time will be spent on the road, though during slower times, they will be asked to help in the warehouse. Rain and snow and each day will be different an exciting.

Physical demands

This job is mostly spent driving and you will need to be able to lift heavy items.

Travel required

On occasion an overnight trip is required. (reimbursed)

Required education and experience

• Clean driving record and valid driver's license

Preferred education and experience

• A current CDL
