As a bulk forklift driver, you have a passion for great service and ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders, for both our Barnes & Noble stores and .com customers. You take pride in assuring product is available to complete the order fulfillment process, a bulk forklift driver consistently meets or exceeds the daily production goals and is comfortable performing these duties in a warehouse environment in accordance with our Core Values.

You will be certified to operate up to 5 different forklift machines (order picker, sit down, pallet jack, reach, turret).

• Adhere to all safety protocols and foster a safe work environment
• Operate various forklift equipment safely, ensuring product is stored, pulled and available for order fulfillment in a timely and accurate manner.
• Follows all driver training and driver guidelines.
• Work with a sense of urgency and care, assuring individual and department daily production goals are met or exceeded.
• Assist new hires and department transfers in a friendly and approachable manner with any questions they may have.
• Communicate in a positive manner with members of management with any questions or concerns.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Work on the warehouse floor, which requires physical activity (driving, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. including the ability to stand for long periods of time) in driver assigned areas as needed.
• Flexible with schedule required during peak season as business needs arise.

• Can successfully pass all OSHA required forklift driver classroom and practical certification.
• Can multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a safe manner at all times.
• Possess basic written and verbal communication skills as well as mathematical skills.
• Is detailed and accurate.
• Prior forklift driving experience is preferred.
