As a Trailer Logistics Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our trailer network by ensuring GPS functionality, investigating trailer locations, and organizing cost-effective trailer shipments. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant trailer movements across our network.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and ensure GPS functionality across the trailer fleet to maintain real-time tracking.
- Research trailer locations and maintain accurate records of trailer custody and movement.
- Identify and resolve issues related to out-of-network or misplaced trailers.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to coordinate trailer shipments.
- Secure carriers for trailer moves using pre-established rates and processes.
- Provide timely updates and creative solutions to ensure smooth trailer operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve logistical issues.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations preferred.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and Excel is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast paced environment.
